Hi Bill,

I apply the pollen immediately after I emasculate the flowers and take off all of the petals.

'Midnight Blue' is a bit tricky. It goes from smaller buds to open blooms very quickly. You will learn to time them. Best time is to do it on the day that the blooms would normally open.
